2012 New Year’s Resolution: Give Yourself Credit For Losing the Real Weight

Can you believe that we’re almost near the close of another year? 2012 is almost here and if you’re anything like me, you’re probably planting some major mojo to make it better, bolder and brilliant like never before. And somewhere on all-too-many of our New Year’s resolution lists is a promise to chuck some pounds.

I want to share something personal with you: I’ve been trying to lose weight for the past 10 years.  When I was 21 and finally came to grips for the first time with my eating disorder, I wanted to lose weight. I thought that it would make my life better. I’ve gained and lost the same 20 pounds over and over. Only to come to one hard core realization: Weight loss is a bitch.

For real.

I have a question: Why does it take 10 years to lose weight? I mean seriously. Logically, I know that I can lose weight in one month.  But 10 years? *in my Martin voice* Damn Gina!

But despite all that back and forth with my weight, I discovered a huge gem that’s saving my life and can definitely save yours. In the process of trying to lose weight, I didn’t give myself credit for LOSING WEIGHT!

Seriously you guys! I know I’m not the only one that’s shed a few pounds. You may not believe me, but if you look at the scale of your life, I bet you lost major weight this year too! And I’m not talking the kind on your hips. Here’s what I mean…
