Baby talk is decking the halls at the home of actor/producer Nick Cannon and singer Mariah Carey as their 7-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe gab their first words.
Nick Cannon tells Us Weekly that while their speech is still pretty limited, the babies are saying “mamma, dadda and babba.” He adds that fatherhood has made him prioritize his life—“spend more time on the things that actually matter in the world (rather) than just trying to be too frivolous. I know that it’s a ticking clock and (my) kids are growing every single day.”
The baby talk comes as Nick and Mariah prepare for a spectacular Christmas Nick tells the Ministry his wife, whom he calls “Miss Christmas,” has been planning “all her life.” On deck at the Cannon/Carey family Christmas celebration in Aspen: a real Santa Claus and real reindeer on Christmas Eve, plus an elaborate dinner and church services. Sounds like fun times for Mariah and Nick, who, between starring as a recurring character on Maya Rudolph and Christina Applegate’s sitcom Up All Night, pushing a stand-up comedy DVD and hosting a radio show in New York, will make his directorial debut with a yet-to-be-titled feature film.
