By DR. IVOR HORN
I am honored to share with the MyBrownBaby family and friends that I have been invited to participate in a live, in-person Minority Health Blogger Townhall at the White House tomorrow, Tuesday, April 24th at 12:30 p.m. The event will be an interactive, open dialogue with stakeholder groups and bloggers to highlight President Obama’s landmark healthcare law, the Affordable Care Act, means for racial and ethnic minorities. They will also talk about racial and ethnic health disparities and how the Administration is addressing these disparities.
MyBrownBaby family—you know this is right up my alley! The health of our brown babies is my passion. My life. And I’m absolutely thrilled to be a part of this important national discussion.
Of course, as I was looking at the word “interactive,” I was thinking, “wait, they want me to ask questions!” And they want your questions, too. MyBrownBaby is the only place where I blog about the health issues of children, and I’m putting out a call to you to submit questions that, if answered, I’ll share here on the website. If there is Internet access, I’ll be tweeting live from @drivorhorn. Follow the hashtag #MinorityHealth to get every juicy detail of the Townhall-style discussion and watch a live stream via www.whitehouse.gov/live and www.hhs.gov/live. The deets:
Minority Health Blogger Townhall
Tuesday, April 24th, 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Featuring:
- Cecilia Munoz, Director of Domestic Policy Council, The White House

So here I am, asking you to share your questions. Share your families and friends questions as well. President Obama and other thoughtful health leaders need to know what is on the minds of our parents—and I’m just the person to tell them all about it. Let’s go!
