My Mari has been hard at work at her gig as a Scholastic Kids Press reporter, using her free summer vacation time to write stories for Scholastic’s online news service. Her latest piece, “Planting A Garden With My Mom,” about our annual ritual of hooking up the container garden on our back deck, is up on the site, and I’m so very pleased to share it with you. One of my favorite summer activities that I always look forward to is planting our annual garden with my mom. Since our backyard is very shady, we can’t plant the flowers in the ground, so we plant them in pots. The end result: colors everywhere!
