No, I’m not referring to President Barack Obama’s silencing of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in Monday night’s third and final presidential debate. I’m shouting out our president for his fine work in this video, taken at the Congressional Picnic on the South Lawn of the White House, as he and First Lady Michelle Obama greeted attendees. There’s a screaming baby. Some really awkward shuffling between the baby’s mama and poor Shelly O. And a complete shock-and-awe takeover by the Top Dad, who’s all, “Come here, baby. I got this.”

Love it! That baby stopped immediately. Lol. Then that look…..perfect. I love that you can actually tell they have a good, healthy relationship. One that more families need. They love each other, are playful and just perfect.

I have to say, I always find it really gratifying to see how much the President clearly loves children, and parenting. Obviously there is a lot of time where he cannot be immersed in his own family’s life, but he just seems to have such an evident appreciation of and respect for everything that goes into being a parent.
